White van squad abducts Prison Officer in Trincomalee

Unidentified armed men in a white van abducted a Prison Officer attached to Trincomalee prison Monday around 7:00 a.m. while the officer was on his way from his house to his mother's house, in Anpuve'lipuram in Trincomalee.

The abducted prison officer is identified as P. Kowrinathan, 42.

Kowrinathan's family members have lodged a complaint on the abduction to Trincomalee police Monday.
